Résumé
The purpose of this game is to introduce information professionals to copyright law through five suits: Works and Other Subject-Matter, Duration, Usages, Licences, and Exceptions. It includes a printable deck of cards (available in PDF and PowerPoint) and slides to host the game. Instructions can be found in the slide notes. Starting with a warm-up quiz, it is played over six rounds, one for each suit, plus a final round that brings it all together.
This is an updated version of “Copyright: The Card Game (Canadian Edition)” first released in 2018 [https://hdl.handle.net/10294/14925] and adapted from the original game created by Jane Secker and Christ Morrison of UK Copyright Literacy [https://copyrightliteracy.org/resources/copyright-the-card-game/]
