Textbook Costs and Affordable Alternatives at the University of Ottawa

Abstract

Presentation for Open Education Week 2020 at uOttawa. Since January 2018, the Library has been tracking textbook costs at the University of Ottawa through #TextbookBroke campaigns and data collection from local bookstores. Presents the results and how they compare with larger trends, what the Library is doing about it, and how the university community can advocate for low-cost alternatives.
