| dc.description.abstract | A review of analog multipliers is given, and a description with the experimental work done on a square-law multiplier has been included in this thesis. The described square-law multiplier can be used with the system that utilizes the correlation principle in measuring noise from electrical elements (e.g. p-n junctions). The multiplier has an accuracy of the order of 1%, a bandwidth of the order of 1 Mc, a drift in the vicinity of 10 mv in eight hours, and an input range of about one volt peak to peak. | |
