Fighting Fake News with Fine Forgiveness

Abstract

In looking for ways to enhance students’ info lit and critical thinking skills, we launched a Fine Forgiveness Week program that’s a little different. Rather than trade a can of soup for $1 off their fines, we invited students to test their skills with a fake news detection activity.
