Interpolants d'ordre 5 et 6 pour les méthodes de Dormand-Prince du type Runge-Kutta.

Abstract

A procedure developed by Enright et al. is described and used to construct interpolants of order 5 and 6 for three Runge-Kutta formula-pairs of order 4 and 5, presented by Dormand and Prince in 1980. A typical result is that the error bounds obtained for the interpolants of order 6 on the interval (0,1) for the three pairs considered are all much smaller than the ones obtained by Enright et al. for the method of Fehlberg.
