This report examines the definition of volunteering in Canada, the volume of cultural volunteering, the social background of cultural volunteers, and the regulation of volunteering in Canada. It was prepared in response to a CIRCLE Questionnaire on Volunteering prepared for Round Table on Culture, Civil Society and Volunteering
