Southern white rhinoceros is one of the largest herbivores on Earth, behind only elephants in size. Rangers in protected areas guard rhinoceros populations intensively to manage the critical threat to these species, which is poaching. Finding this very large individual bathed in sunlight in the late afternoon was a particularly wonderful photo safari treat.en_US
