Current computer systems have evolved following a near exponential increase in performance of the different hardware components that they are based on. But problems are appearing in different fronts. There are issues related to the production of semiconductors and others related to the tools used to design new electronics systems. This research presents a solution that provides a new paradigm in design of hardware system which uses proved methods found in the fields of software design. An overview of the current technologies will be presented as well as the computing paradigms used in the present day. There will be a discussion about the reasons and causes of the problems faced by the industry and the possible solutions. This will be done in a general and a reconfigurable-centric manner. The architecture of the proposed system will be presented with an in-depth explanations of some of its mort importants modules.
