A capillary cell apparatus was developed for the measurement of gas-liquid diffusivities. The diffusion coefficients of the systems carbon dioxide-water, methane-carbon tetrachloride, carbondioxide-ethanol, ethane-normal hexane, ethane-normal heptane and ethane-hexane, heptane mixtures were determined using this apparatus. Solubilities of ethane in n-hexane, ethane in n-heptane and ethane in mixtures of n-hexane and n-heptane were also determined.
