Abstract: | These birds eat little lizards and insects. They are commonly observed in these open woodland and savannah habitats, but are one of the most visually striking birds anywhere. While they are common in protected areas in East and Southern Africa, lilac-breasted rollers are so visually striking that it is always worth taking a moment just to appreciate how beautiful they are. Their habit of perching atop branches adjacent to roads and paths makes them easy to find. |
